What data we collect

We collect personal data only when you voluntarily provide it or when it arises from your use of our website. This includes:

Chat widget disclosure

Our website chat assistant is powered by an AI language model. When you use the chat widget:

Your conversation is processed by Anthropic's Claude API to generate responses.
The full conversation transcript is automatically submitted to the PGSE team by email when the conversation ends, when you close the widget, or after a period of inactivity.
By initiating a conversation, you consent to this processing.
Do not share sensitive personal, financial, or confidential business information in the chat that you would not otherwise send by email.

Cookies

Our website uses two categories of cookies:

Essential cookies - required for the website and content management system to function. These are not optional and do not require consent.
Analytics cookies - set by Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to help us understand how visitors use the site. These are only set after you click "Accept" on the cookie banner shown on your first visit. Typical cookies in this category include _ga and _ga_* (Google Analytics) and _clck and _clsk (Microsoft Clarity).

If you click "Decline," or take no action, analytics cookies are never set. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie Preferences" link in the site footer.

Legal basis for processing

We process your personal data on the following legal grounds:

Legitimate interests - responding to project enquiries and business development communications.
Consent - chat widget conversations, where you initiate contact and are informed of data processing at the point of use; and analytics cookies, which are only set after you accept the cookie banner.
Legal obligation - where required by applicable law in the US or Nigeria.

How we use your data

We use personal data solely to:

Respond to your project inquiry or general question
Evaluate job applications
Improve our website and services

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data retention

Inquiry and chat data is retained for up to 24 months from the date of last contact, after which it is deleted unless an active business relationship requires longer retention. CVs and recruitment data are retained for 12 months unless you request earlier deletion. Analytics and session-recording data (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity) is retained according to each provider's own configured retention settings; see their respective privacy policies for details.

Third-party processors

We use the following third-party services that may process personal data on our behalf:

Netlify - website hosting and form processing (USA)
Anthropic - AI processing of chat conversations (USA)
Google - website analytics via Google Analytics, only with your consent (USA)
Microsoft - on-page behavior analytics and session recordings via Clarity, only with your consent (USA)

Each processor operates under its own privacy policy and applicable data protection agreements.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Object to or restrict processing
Lodge a complaint with a relevant supervisory authority
